Minutes of Revive India - First Meeting
Time: 5:00pm Sunday March 3rd, 2002


Hello everyone,


This email is coming to you as a follow up to a very successful first meeting that took place on Sunday March 3rd at Bungalow 3, Madhuli. After everyone acquanted themselveswith each other, the concept of this organization (tentatively called Revive India..) was introduced.

1) From there we talked about what we wanted to do from here. Should we focus on specific needs or should it be a broad all encompassing organization that will accept any kind of project that can address any kind of lack in the city. This will be followed up with more concrete form in the next meeting.

2) We then brainstormed what each of us felt was something we would like to see better or more of in Bombay. Saumya Lashkari led this brainstorming discussion while each person explained what their idea was.
All the ideas that were brainstormed are below. Each person that suggested it will give a brief study on that idea. See below for *Next meeting. If I have typed the wrong name in the allocation of these tasks, please let me know.

We will also be talking about the charter of this organization, membership,mission statement and direction. If someone who could not come - but has an idea that they would like to follow up on & it is not mentioned above,  kindly do an analysis of your issue using the above 5 points and you can present it in two weeks when we meet.

Vikrant Chowgule has been most gracious to allow us the use of Athena for the next meeting.

On behalf of everyone that came and with an excellent turnout I might add, I wanted to thank each and everyone that showed up. The momentum that we started with was absolutely amazing! I hope we can translate that into something very concrete that each one of us is very proud of! And hope to see all those faces and the ones' that couldn't make it on MARCH 17TH.
